The home is located in a valley which lies at the base of the St Arnaud Ranges between lakes Rotoiti and Rotoroa. The view from the expansive deck is to the river and the surrounding farmlands. Your room is located inside the house which is a charming Kiwi Style cottage with all the modern facilities required. The property is a real retreat. Leave your work behind, mobile reception is poor, WIFI is available but limited as we are on Satellite.

Your stay includes;

• A spa pool is on site however needs to be booked in advance and costs $30.00 per use with no time restriction. Towels and candles are provided.

• A continental breakfast with homemade bread, cereals, yoghurt, juice, jams and cheese.

• I am happy to provide dinner for a surcharge of $25.00 per person if this is pre-booked. Most dietary requirements can be catered for.

The bathroom is next to your room. The bathroom and kitchen are shared areas as is the garden and deck.

There is plenty of room outdoors for you to find a private space.

A minimum stay of 2 nights is required. Rate for 2 persons, 2 nights is NZD260.00 when booking direct.

Activities in the valley include swimming in a waterhole, walks via Porika track and to Booths Hut. Recreational gold panning. Fishermen can try their luck in the river.

Activities in the Nelson Lakes area include boating on one of the lakes, day walks & tramping in the area of St Arnaud, Mountain biking, fishing, 4x4 driving or swimming in the lake. The watertaxi at Lake Rotoiti offers kayak hire and lake tours as well as transport to the far end of the lake for a leisurely stroll back. In winter there is skiing and snow activities at Rainbow and potentially ice skating on a natural pond. St Arnaud is 20 minutes /15 km drive from the property. Easy drive to wine and food producers as well as artisans in Marlborough and Nelson /Tasman region.
